Immaculate Conception Mission Statement
Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.
We desire all people to encounter Him in a personal, intimate, life changing way. It is primarily through the Sacraments that we seek to experience that encounter with Christ and to be transformed daily by these channels of grace.
Knowing that the world hungers for authentic love, we strive to help people feel loved, seen, and cared for in the way we serve them through various charitable efforts and social events, such as our parish picnic.
Loving Christ requires knowing him and so we seek to offer substantial catechetical programs to aid people in this endeavor.
Offering perpetual adoration of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, we seek to bring healing and unity to our community as together we gaze into the face of Christ.
With the Blessed Virgin Mary’s intercession and guidance, we will remain a beacon for faithful souls, pointing always to Mary so that She may lead us to Her Son. She is our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
As the oldest parish in the Archdiocese of Kansas City, KS (1848), we daily beg for the grace to be an example of faithfulness and loyalty to Jesus Christ and His Church. Our battle cry comes from the Jesuit heritage we have received: Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
